Western Pacific Marine, is actively recruiting for an Assistant Marine Manager for our Kootenay Lake Ferry division located in Balfour, BC.

The Assistant Marine Manager is responsible for providing support to the Marine Operations by ensuring procurement and delivery of ships stores and supplies; assists in researching and sourcing of assets and parts for Ministry-assigned projects and ensures cost efficient operations; responsible for operational scheduling and developing yearly schedules; participates in hiring process and assists in Ministry driven projects.

Proficiency in computer programs such as excel, word and outlook and a mechanical background are a requirement for this position.

Due to a delay in contractor work, Western Pacific Marine is extending the Osprey 2000’s refit end-date to Friday, April 26. The MV Balfour will remain in service on the regular winter schedule.
